Industrial Sewing & Upholstery Associate Sauder Manufacturing was founded in 1945 as a Church furniture Company. Healthcare Furniture for Acute Care Hospitals, Education Furniture for colleges and universities, Worship furniture for churches, synagogues, courthouses and furniture for human services markets which is a diverse network of agencies providing residential housing to many individuals. Schedule:
Monday- Friday
- 7:00 am
- 3:00 pm
- paid lunches and breaks Overtime will is flexible; you can come in before or after shift.
Occasional Saturdays Pay:
$18 starting rate- increases at 6 months & 1 year
Position Summary:
Upholstery Associate II will apply fabric and foam to seating and lounge furniture for the Worship, Education, Healthcare and Human Services Markets. Apply fabric and foam to chairs, pews, kneelers, seats and backs Stapling upholstery products Stuffing upholstery product Sewing upholstery product Operate spray guns to apply adhesive Trainer Mastered upholstery cell or proficient in most of cellLocation Specific Details:

Ability to read and comprehend work orders Cutting pew and chair fabric Operate radial arm and chop saws Reading and interpreting measurementsPosition Requirements:
Must be detail-oriented Regular lifting and maneuvering and positioning of product up to 40 lbs. Operate various upholstery machines Presses, stretchers, staple gun, screw guns, and power shears Operate handheld pneumatic staple guns Operate industrial sewing machine Requires reaching, pulling and stretching of fabric. Requires full shift of standing, walking, bending and lifting Able to read, write and follow instructions, both written and verbal Able to assist in training employees 5-S audits and daily cleaning Ensures a safe working environment by conforming to all safety guidelines including, but not limited to, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE)Experience and Knowledge Required:
High school diploma or GED preferred Previous Manufacturing Experience preferred Previous Upholstery Experience requiredKey Attributes Required:
