Job Title:
Roll Repair Helper Job Description As a Roll Repair Helper, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the roll repair area. You will perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and efficient work environment. Responsibilities Empty trash cans at the beginning and end of each shift. Dispose of oil and cleaning pans used for roll repair. Thoroughly sweep the shop floor every morning, focusing on cleaning oil spills. Organize and store items such as empty saddles and roll stands. Assist co-workers as needed. Maintain and report the need for replacement of cleaning tools such as brooms, mops, and dust pans. Clean and sweep all areas of the shop weekly, including mezzanines, stairwells, and walkways. Check used oil containers weekly; store full ones and replace with empty ones. Mop the shop floor, stairwells, and mezzanines monthly. Ensure vendors clean up after themselves, while also managing trash cans and sweeping up any leftover debris. Support the Roll Repair Department. Embody and promote core values and behaviors to foster a positive work environment. Essential Skills Experience in general labor and warehouse settings. Proficiency with hand tools and power tools. Strong cleaning and housekeeping skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Demonstrate core values such as leading by example, leading the business, caring for people, and guiding the team. Work Environment The work environment is non-climate controlled, with hours from Monday to Friday, 6am to 6pm. The role requires maintaining cleanliness in the shop area and a positive attitude towards team collaboration. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spartanburg, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
