Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a hardworking Welder Helper to assist welders and shop personnel with daily welding and fabrication activities in an industrial manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on position and a great opportunity for someone interested in developing welding and fabrication skills. Bilingual Spanish/English communication skills are required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist welders with daily welding and fabrication tasks Prepare and organize materials for welding Move and position materials as directed Assist with loading, unloading, and handling metal products Clean and prepare metal surfaces before and after welding Use hand tools and basic shop equipment as instructed Hold, position, and secure materials during fabrication Assist with grinding, cutting, deburring, and other general shop tasks Maintain tools and work areas in a clean and organized condition Follow directions from welders and supervisors Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements Assist with other shop and production duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
Bilingual English/Spanish required Previous welding helper, fabrication, construction, or industrial experience preferred Basic knowledge of hand tools preferred Ability to perform physical labor and work on your feet Ability to lift and move materials as required Willingness to learn welding and fabrication skills Must be dependable and punctual Ability to follow instructions carefully Comfortable working in a hot, industrial, and manufacturing environment Strong commitment to workplace safety
IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is dependable, mechanically inclined, hardworking, and eager to learn. Previous welding or fabrication experience is a plus, but candidates with strong industrial/shop experience and a willingness to learn may also be considered.
Pay:
$16.00/hour + approximately 12 hours of overtime per week
