Job Description
Upholstery / Auto Trim Technician Monday through Friday | No Nights | No Weekends Exer-Tech, Inc. | Katy, TX | Full Time | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Built for Auto Trimmers If you have worked in an auto trim or upholstery shop, you already have every skill this job requires. We re-cover pads, benches, and seats on commercial fitness equipment. The work is clean vinyl, straight seams, foam, and staple guns. If you can sew a car seat, this work will feel easy. Here is what we offer that most trim shops do not: Guaranteed hourly pay. No flat rate, no commission, no slow weeks. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No nights. No Saturdays. Steady, year-round work that does not depend on customer cars rolling in. About Us Exer-Tech, Inc. has serviced commercial fitness equipment across the Greater Houston area since 1989. Our clients include gyms, apartment communities, hotels, corporate fitness centers, and country clubs. What You Will Do Measure, cut, sew, and fit vinyl and Naugahyde covers using an industrial walking foot sewing machine Cut and replace foam, prep pad boards, and staple new covers in our Katy shop Drive to client locations around Greater Houston to remove worn pads and install finished ones Photograph and log completed work in our service software Keep the shop organized and maintain tools and equipment What We Are Looking For Auto trim or auto upholstery experience preferred. Marine, furniture, aircraft, and commercial upholstery backgrounds are also welcome Experience on an industrial sewing machine (walking foot preferred) Comfortable working with vinyl, Naugahyde, and similar materials Skilled with hand tools and pneumatic staple guns Valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record. You must be insurable under our company auto policy Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly, with frequent bending, kneeling, and standing. Heavier items are moved with a team lift Professional appearance and courteous manner. You will work inside client facilities and represent our company Able to pass a background check Authorized to work in the United States Nice to Have Pattern making and template experience Bilingual English and Spanish Pay and Benefits $18 to $24 per hour, based on experience 401(k) plan Paid holidays and vacation Company vehicle We provide the industrial sewing machine, staple guns, and shop tools How to Apply Apply through this listing or email your resume to doug@exer-tech.net.
