Role Summary:
Park Place LTD is seeking a highly skilled Master Upholstery Technician / Journeyman to join our restoration and customization team. This is a senior-level role for a craftsman with 10+ years of experience in automotive upholstery , capable of delivering exceptional results across luxury, classic, and exotic vehicles. You will take ownership of complex interior restoration and custom upholstery projects, setting the standard for quality, precision, and efficiency while supporting and mentoring junior team members. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform complete automotive upholstery restoration and custom interior work on luxury and exotic vehicles. Disassemble and reassemble interiors including seats, panels, carpets, and headliners. Fabricate, cut, and install materials such as leather, Alcantara, vinyl, and specialty fabrics . Execute pattern making, stitching, and trimming to factory or custom specifications. Rebuild and shape foam structures for proper fit, comfort, and finish. Diagnose and resolve complex interior issues, including fitment challenges and water intrusion . Lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met. Mentor and guide apprentice and junior technicians, supporting team development. Collaborate with restoration and service teams to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace.
Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of professional automotive upholstery experience . Proven mastery of pattern making, sewing, trimming, and installation . Experience with luxury, exotic, or classic vehicle restoration strongly preferred. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and lead projects with minimal oversight. Leadership and mentorship experience preferred. Valid driver's license required.
Working Conditions:
Full-time role in a professional restoration environment. Physical, hands-on work including lifting and tool use. Occasional overtime may be required.
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience , plus relocation assistance for qualified candidates.
