Whether assisting with medical procedures, handling animals, or maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate, efficient veterinary services. Responsibilities Assist veterinary staff during examinations, surgeries, and treatments by preparing equipment and handling animals safely using proper restraint techniques. Perform animal husbandry duties including feeding, cleaning enclosures, and monitoring animal behavior and health status. Support laboratory procedures by collecting samples, preparing specimens, and maintaining accurate record keeping of test results. Administer medications and injections such as IV insertions under supervision, ensuring aseptic techniques are followed diligently. Handle pet care responsibilities including grooming, feeding, and providing comfort to animals in the kennel or treatment areas. Maintain cleanliness of the clinic environment by disinfecting surfaces, sterilizing tools, and managing waste disposal with appropriate PPE use. Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet care instructions, treatment plans, and behavioral observations to foster trust and understanding. Experience Prior kennel experience or hands-on animal handling experience is highly valued. Experience working in a veterinary clinic or with veterinary technicians enhances your ability to succeed in this role. Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and aseptic techniques is preferred. Demonstrated ability to handle dogs and other animals safely using proper restraint methods. Familiarity with laboratory procedures, medication administration, and record keeping systems is advantageous. Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members are essential.
