Job Description

We LOVE our TAs (technician assistants)! This position is the ideal place to start in the veterinary world for someone who is looking to grow their knowledge learning from Veterinary Technicians, while working hard to help a growing animal hospital.

Ideal candidates are:

High School graduates. Graduates from Veterinary Assisting program. People who not only can take a directive, but also always looking/asking to find more way to help. A person who is willing to work hard physically and mentally for their entire shift and outside of it on developing their own knowledge. Ensuring that the workflow of the hospital is met by: Assisting the DVMs and Technicians with various medical procedures Preparing and restraining patients for blood draws, bandaging, anal gland expression, ear cleanings, etc. Removing patients from cages/runs and leading patients to the back area for urine elimination/bowel movements Urine and fecal sample collections Assisting with digital x-ray imaging of restrained patients Completion of cleaning and disinfection systems Setting up equipment for routine and anesthetic procedures Completing opening, closing, and maintenance lists in order to adhere to work schedule Quality Control and Maintenance of in-house diagnostic machines. Assisting the technicians by performing in house bloodwork testing, SNAP tests, pre-anesthetic EKG, and preparing cytology samples Helping to manage incoming phone calls by greeting clients and putting them in contact with the correct team members. Documentation in patients medical record for client communications and details pertaining to patient visits (patient vitals, invoice items, patient alerts, FAS scores,etc.) Who we are: A private and veterinarian owned practice A culture centered and collaborative environment A general, full service practice offering integrative therapies Hydrotherapy treadmill, Cold Laser, Acupuncture, Soundwave therapy, E-Stim, etc. Soft tissue surgery and dental procedures, Fear Free techniques Ultrasonography and digital radiography AAHA Accredited Located on the border of Paradise Valley, Scottsdale and Phoenix.
