University Pet Clinic is now hiring for Experienced Full-Time Veterinary Technician/Assistant University Pet Clinic Tucson, AZ Job Details Full-time $16.75
- $24.
- typically three 11hr weekdays and every Saturday 8a-3p.
CLOSED SUNDAYS & NO OVERNIGHTS.
We are an independently owned and managed small animal general practice, serving Tucson's cats and dogs since 1992. We are searching for the right candidate to join our outstanding support team for our 3+ doctor general practice. This position is Full-Time (40hrs/wk)- typically three 11hr weekdays, and every Saturday from 8a-3p.
Responsibilities:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform routine medical services
- Administer medications and treatments, as directed by our veterinarians
- Surgical prep and anesthesia monitoring
- Positioning and taking X-rays
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- Provide compassionate care and handle animals with patience and kindness
- Provide client education and exceed client's customer service expectations with empathy, accuracy and consistency
Experience & Skills:
- Previous experience working as a veterinary assistant/technician is preferred
- Knowledge of animal behavior, anatomy, and common veterinary procedures
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and equipment
- Strong communication skills to effectively and efficiently interact with pet owners and our team
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Compensation is based upon experience.
