In this role, you will provide essential support to veterinarians in delivering high-quality care to animals. Your responsibilities will include assisting with examinations, performing laboratory tasks, and monitoring anesthesia, ect. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care, excellent communication skills, be a self starter, and have the ability to work effectively. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures by restraining animals and providing necessary support. Perform routine tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and preparing animals for surgery. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the clinic by cleaning cages, surgical instruments, and examination rooms. Handle laboratory samples and perform basic laboratory tests as needed. Educate pet owners on proper pet care practices and post-operative instructions. Maintain accurate medical records and assist with scheduling appointments. Skills Knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and husbandry practices. Experience in animal handling, including dog handling and restraint techniques. Familiarity with veterinary terminology and critical care procedures. Ability to perform dental cleanings and understand dental terminology. Experience with aseptic techniques in a clinical setting. Proficiency in laboratory procedures, including sample collection and analysis. Experience prepping for surgery, monitoring anesthetics, and recovering patients. Experience with Idexx and Neo is helpful. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and our team.
