Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a welcoming environment for pet owners and their beloved animals. This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with hands-on animal care, ensuring smooth clinic operations while providing compassionate support to our furry patients. Duties Greet clients warmly, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-ins and check-outs with professionalism and efficiency Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide clear information about services and procedures Maintain accurate record keeping of patient histories, treatments, medications, and billing information Assist veterinary staff with animal handling, restraint, and basic animal husbandry tasks to ensure safety and comfort during examinations and procedures Support veterinary technicians with tasks such as IV insertion, medication administration, catheterization, and animal restraint Clean and disinfect treatment areas, kennels, cages, and equipment to uphold high standards of hygiene and safety Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding animal care instructions, post-surgical care, and behavioral guidance Qualifications Prior experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is highly preferred Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and critical care procedures is beneficial Strong dog handling skills and experience with various species including equine are desirable Ability to perform cleaning duties diligently while adhering to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols Excellent client communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor Capable of multitasking efficiently in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail This role offers an engaging environment where your skills directly impact animal health and owner satisfaction. Pay:
$20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
