Job Description

Ponte Palmero is a 234-unit senior living community set on 23 acres in Cameron Park, voted the #1 retirement community in El Dorado County. We are hiring caregivers across all three shifts, in both our assisted living neighborhoods and our Lighthouse memory care community. If you have never worked in senior care but you are patient, dependable, and good with people, we will train you. If you already have years behind you, we will put that experience to work and pay toward the top of our range. Pay and what we cover Starting pay is $18.00 to $19.50 per hour, based on experience. We pay for your First Aid certification and your TB clearance. Those are our costs, not yours.

  • 6:30 a.m. Full-time and part-time positions available on all three shifts. Weekend availability is expected
  • senior living does not close, and our residents need the same care on Saturday that they get on Tuesday. We build that into the schedule up front so there are no surprises. A day in this role You will be assigned to a group of residents, and you will get to know them well
  • what they want for breakfast, which grandkids call on Sundays, and when something just seems off.

The job is helping them move through their day with their dignity intact. Day to day, that means: Assisting residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Safe transfers in and out of bed and wheelchair Helping at mealtimes and getting residents to activities they enjoy Answering call pendants and radio calls promptly Noticing changes in a resident's condition and reporting them to your supervisor right away Documenting the care you provided before the end of your shift In our Lighthouse memory care community, the work is the same but calls for more redirection, more repetition, and more patience.   • we want to know. What you need to be hired At least 18 years of age High school diploma or GED Criminal record clearance through the California Department of Social Services, required under Title 22
  • we walk you through the fingerprinting process Current First Aid certification, or willingness to certify after hire (we pay for it) TB clearance dated within six months before your start date, or completed within seven days of starting Ability to stay on your feet through a shift and assist residents with transfers Prior experience in assisted living, home care, skilled nursing, or as a CNA or HHA is a plus•not a requirement.
