Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Veterinary Assistant or Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant/RVT, you will play a crucial role in supporting our veterinarians in delivering high-quality veterinary care. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Assisting veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and treatments Preparing and sanitizing surgical instruments and exam rooms Providing post-operative care and monitoring patients' recovery Administering medications and vaccines under the guidance of veterinarians Taking and processing X-rays and other diagnostic imaging Performing basic laboratory tests and maintaining accurate records Assisting with pet restraint and handling in a gentle and caring manner Educating pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the clinic Participating in regular team meetings and training sessions
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred A genuine love and compassion for animals Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Physical ability to lift and handle animals of various sizes Flexibility to work weekends How to
