OUR URGENT CARE TEAM AS A VET ASSISTANT

At Mayfair Vet Care , our urgent care shifts are fast, rewarding, and never boring. We're looking for an adaptable, quick-thinking Veterinary Assistant to be the ultimate wing-person for our medical team. If you love staying busy, learning on your feet, and being the person who keeps everything moving smoothly during the "chaos," you belong here! We're here for families when their regular vet is closed, providing a calm port in the storm during our extended weekend hours.

LOCATION

Mayfair Vet Care, Dixon, CA

SCHEDULE

Friday through Tuesday, urgent care shifts (Full-time or Part-time)

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Set the

Stage:

Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for incoming urgent cases.

Patient Support:

Assist with safe restraint, walk patients, and ensure every pet is comfortable and clean.

Lab & Pharmacy:

Help run in-house diagnostics and prepare medications under supervision.

Client Comfort:

Greet worried pet parents with a smile and help them feel at home while we care for their best friends. The "Glue": Keep the flow moving by anticipating the team's needs before they even ask.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Experience:

Previous experience in a veterinary setting (Urgent Care or GP) is preferred.

The Vibe:

A "can-do" attitude and the ability to stay positive when the lobby is hopping.

Communication:

Great people skills—you're as good with humans as you are with animals.
