Equine Veterinary Assistant Equine Veterinary Clinic located in Amador County is looking to hire a part time assistant. Part time would be 3 days a week Tuesday
  • Thursday 9:00
  • 5:00 or 9:30
  • 5:30.
We are looking for a team player who has the ability to multi-task and is a hard worker. Qualified candidate MUST have horse experience, NO exceptions. This is a physical demanding job and candidates must have the ability to stand for long periods of time, run and lift 50 lbs. Compensation based on experience. Job Description Daily handling, lunging, and restraint of horses Assist with diagnostics radiographs and ultrasound Set up and maintain diagnostic equipment under supervision of veterinarian Prepare horses for and assist with sterile procedures Provide administrative support with inventory of medications Assist doctors on various procedures Clean and prepare surgical equipment Light nursing care Apply/Change bandages Record keeping
