Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and compassionate Exam Room Assistant (ERA) to join our dynamic Animal Hospital. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a welcoming environment for patients while maintaining efficient workflow. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the veterinary field, patient care, within a fast-paced, innovative setting. Responsibilities Prepare exam rooms by ensuring cleanliness, proper sterilization, and availability of necessary supplies and equipment. Assist Doctors during patient examinations by taking vital signs (TPR) , recording medical histories, and supporting procedures. Support clinical documentation by recording patient interactions, procedures performed, and medication administration details in medical records. Collaborate with the Veterinary staff team to facilitate smooth patient flow from check-in to discharge, including vital signs collection and patient education. Experience Prior experience in a veterinary office setting is highly preferred. Knowledge of emergency medicine settings is advantageous. Experience with EzyVet and medical documentation is essential. Familiarity with veterinary terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology enhances effectiveness in this role.
