Experienced Veterinary Assistant

This position COULD turn into Full-Time. if Here we grow again! We are looking for an another new team member - Is that you? Experience is REQUIRED, we need a team member that can provide veterinary assistant skills on their first day. We will provide training on our protocols of course. Veterinary Assistants must have a broad range of skills. Some skill sets would include but are not limited to:

• Restraining friendly as well as scared and aggressive pets.
• The ability to talk to a client during a crisis.

Sometimes clients can be so upset with the medical concerns going on with their pets, that they can be challenging to communicate with. You must be able to have that hard conversation with a client in a caring and compassionate way. Our bond with our clients is one of the most important aspects of our job. Our most important one is to make sure that all pets are safe and treated with respect and care.

• All those daily skills are needed as well like blood draws, IV catheters, full body x-rays, in house lab work, cleaning, computer knowledge, cleaning, comfortable in observing and monitoring surgery, lots of empathy for those end of life appointments, and did I say more cleaning?
• The ability to really be a team player.
• It's not all puppies and kittens, but that is one of our biggest benefits. Who does not love puppy breath?
• The hunger to learn and do more than you ever thought possible!
