This is a hands-on position focused primarily on keeping our hospital and kennel areas clean and sanitary, caring for hospitalized and boarding pets, and safely restraining animals for our veterinary team . Responsibilities Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, runs, treatment areas, and hospital work areas Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment throughout the hospital Perform laundry, wash bedding and towels, take out trash, and restock supplies Feed, walk, and provide basic care for hospitalized or boarding pets Monitor pets and immediately report abnormalities or concerns to the veterinary team Safely restrain dogs and cats for examinations, treatments, blood draws, injections, and other procedures Assist veterinarians, RVTs, and veterinary assistants as directed Help with cleaning and preparation of treatment and procedure areas Follow hospital cleaning, disinfection, and infection-control protocols Handle pets calmly, safely, and compassionately Assist with other hospital duties as needed What We Are Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Reliable and punctual Comfortable working with dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments Comfortable with cleaning, urine, feces, blood, and other normal aspects of veterinary hospital work Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team Attentive to cleanliness and detail Willing to learn proper animal restraint and veterinary assisting techniques Able to work efficiently in a busy veterinary hospital Caring and respectful toward animals Previous veterinary, kennel, boarding, animal shelter, grooming, or animal-handling experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Physical Requirements This is an active position.
Applicants must be able to:
Stand and walk for extended periods Bend, kneel, squat, and perform repetitive cleaning duties Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats Lift approximately 40-50 pounds when needed Work around barking animals, cleaning products, animal hair, urine, feces, and other materials routinely encountered in a veterinary hospital Schedule & Compensation Full-time position only Schedule will be based on hospital staffing needs We are looking for someone who takes pride in keeping the hospital clean, enjoys working with animals, and wants to become a dependable part of our veterinary team.
