Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Veterinary Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Veterinary Assistant to join our dynamic veterinary team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, compassionate environment where animal care and client service are our top priorities. The successful candidate will possess a strong foundation in veterinary procedures, animal handling, and clinical support. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about animal welfare and eager to develop their veterinary expertise. Duties Assist veterinarians with clinical procedures including animal restraint, sample collection, and administering medications. Perform laboratory work such as phlebotomy, diagnostic testing, and sample processing to support accurate diagnoses. Handle pet care responsibilities including dog handling, animal restraint, and ensuring comfort during visits. Maintain accurate veterinary records using specialized veterinary software while ensuring compliance with aseptic techniques. Support client communication by explaining procedures, post-operative care instructions, and answering general inquiries professionally. Requirements Previous experience in a veterinary setting with knowledge of veterinary terminology. Demonstrate proficiency in animal handling and restraint techniques. Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail. Certification as a Veterinary Technician or relevant experience as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; however, a strong desire to learn is essential. $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
