The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and handling, with experience in veterinary settings. This role is essential in providing support to veterinary technicians and ensuring the well-being of animals in our care. The RVT/Experience Technician Assistant will work closely with both staff and clients, contributing to a positive environment for pets and their owners. Duties Assist veterinary technicians in daily tasks, including animal restraint and catheterization. Provide care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and monitoring their health. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic or facility, adhering to aseptic techniques. Handle various laboratory tasks such as sample collection and processing. Support veterinary staff during examinations and procedures by preparing necessary equipment. Utilize knowledge of animal anatomy and physiology to assist in patient assessments. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding care instructions and treatment plans. Participate in training programs for dog handling and behavior modification as needed. Experience Candidates should possess a combination of the following skills and experiences: Veterinary Assistant or equivalent animal handling skills. Familiarity with dental terminology and veterinary terminology. Background in animal husbandry or veterinary critical care. Knowledge of pet care practices, including grooming, training, and general animal welfare. Understanding of animal physiology, anatomy, and restraint techniques.
