About us: Paws of Pleasanton Animal Hospital is a 4000 sq ft veterinary hospital located in Pleasanton, CA. We are a privately owned hospital, that focuses on a team based supportive work environment. Excellent customer service and superior quality of care are essential to our values. We are looking to add a veterinary kennel assistant, to our team. Ideal candidates should have superior work ethic, stellar attendance, be professional, reliable, and excited to work in a forward thinking technologically advanced environment.

Shifts available:

Monday-Thursday 1pm-6:30pm.

Duties/Responsibilities of ideal candidates include:

Cleaning kennels and cages Laundry and cleaning of various parts of the hospital including but not limited to: exam rooms, surgical suite, treatment, dental suite, and equipment Cleaning surgical instruments, preparing surgical packs, autoclaving surgical equipment Walking dogs Assist in animal restraint for sample collect and treatments Provide compassionate care and support to pet owners Additional duties with experience related to animal handling, care, and medical assistance

Qualifications:

Self starter High school students encouraged to apply Previous experience working with animals preferred Knowledge of animal behavior, handling, and restraint techniques preferred Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners
