FT 5/8's or 4/10's VCA Animal Care Center Veterinary Hospital is seeking an entry level Patient Care Attendant to join our team. If you are looking to get your foot in the door and start an exciting career in veterinary medicine, this is the position for you. The successful candidate will share our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our loyal clientele and the highest quality care to our patients. What You'll Do As a Patient Care Assistant, you play a vital role in ensuring a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients, clients, and staff. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Running laundry throughout the shift Cleaning and maintaining hospital premises (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming) Emptying trash, recycling, and compost Cleaning and restocking exam rooms Cleaning cages and kennels Stocking supplies in common areas As you gain experience, you'll have opportunities to learn animal handling and restraint, patient husbandry, and basic patient care and treatments. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate: Works well on a team and independently Is compassionate, reliable, and eager to learn Has strong communication skills Understands the importance of cleanliness in a hospital setting Can stand for most of a shift and lift up to 40 lbs Is flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as part of a 24/7 hospital schedule Why Join VCA?
