Pay:

$20

DOE Schedule:

Position 1 Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM

•4:30 PM Position 2 Monday Through Friday 8:45 AM

Anesthesia Veterinary Assistant We are looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistants who are confident working in a fast-paced veterinary hospital and have a strong foundation in anesthesia and surgical support. This role will primarily focus on supporting surgeries and dentals, including setting up and monitoring anesthesia, while also assisting with appointments and general treatment floor responsibilities.

What You'll Do:

Monitor anesthesia for routine surgeries and dental procedures Recognize normal anesthesia parameters and identify changes that should be brought to the veterinarian's attention Set up and prepare anesthesia equipment and the surgery suite Complete pre-operative preparation and post-operative/recovery care Perform drug calculations accurately and safely Place and maintain IV catheters Perform venipuncture, including jugular and other routine blood draws Assist with patient restraint and positioning Take radiographs, including proper positioning Room patients and assist with technician appointments Communicate clearly and professionally with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans Work closely with veterinarians and RVTs to ensure patients receive safe, high-quality care Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked surgical and treatment area

What We're Looking For:

Veterinary Assistant experience with hands-on exposure to anesthesia and surgery Proficient with IVC placement and blood draws Understanding of normal anesthesia parameters and patient monitoring Experience with anesthesia equipment setup and surgical suite preparation Experience with pre-op preparation and post-op/recovery care Comfortable with drug calculations and medication safety Radiograph experience and understanding of proper positioning Strong client communication and rooming skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and a willingness to continue learning

Training & Development:

We are willing to train and further develop the right candidate. However, applicants should already have the essential building blocks and some hands-on exposure to anesthesia monitoring, including an understanding of normal patient parameters, anesthesia equipment, surgical preparation, and pre
