Join our dynamic veterinary team as an Experienced Veterinary Assistant, where your passion for animal care and veterinary expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners. In this vital role, you will support veterinarians and technicians by providing exceptional animal care, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring a smooth clinic operation. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to a compassionate, efficient, and welcoming environment for all our furry patients. Duties Assist with animal restraint during examinations, treatments, and procedures to ensure safety and comfort for both animals and staff Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments accurately following veterinary instructions and aseptic techniques Prepare animals for surgery or diagnostic procedures by performing laboratory tests, collecting samples, and maintaining sterile environments Support veterinary critical care activities as needed, including monitoring vital signs and administering medications Maintain detailed records of medication administration, treatment plans, and laboratory results in accordance with veterinary protocols Provide front desk support by scheduling appointments, managing client communications, and assisting with client education on pet care and wellness Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels, treatment areas, and equipment in accordance with veterinary standards Operate X-ray equipment under supervision to assist in diagnostic imaging Critical care experience working with animals requiring specialized attention or emergency interventions is a plus Having the ability to draw up controlled drugs a plus (Must have VACSP to do so) Join us if you are eager to apply your veterinary assistant skills in a lively environment where compassionate pet care drives everything we do.
Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
