We treat dogs, cats, birds, reptiles and various "pocket pets". We are seeking a registered veterinary technician(RVT) or a highly skilled veterinary assistant with a minimum of 1 year experience to join our team. Proficiency in the following areas is

REQUIRED

Blood draws, urine collection, I.V. catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, ability to take radiographs, run in-house blood testing, read skin cytology and scrapes and complete dental prophylaxes. Must be able to lift 40 pounds. Additionally, the ideal candidate needs to be a strong team player, organized, computer literate (Pulse is a plus!), be comfortable with 'exotics' (reptiles, birds, rabbits, etc) possess a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn. Must have flexible hours and no conflicts. Applicant must be dependable, friendly, outgoing, have a dedicated work ethic, self-motivated and work well with team members. The right person needs to be open to learning as well as have patience to teach others their skills. Must have an optimistic, kind and caring attitude towards patients as well as their coworkers. Applicants must also be able to work any hours the hospital is open. Currently, our hours are M-F 815am-515pm, Sat 745am - 415pm and may be subject to change. They may also need to be available to work occasional Sundays and holidays to tend to boarded pets. Compensation will depend on experience and skills and whether or no licensed.
