Rancho Bernardo Pet Hospital is looking for a Veterinary Technician or experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. We are a small animal practice providing general medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, urgent care, and hospitalized patient care. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys being hands-on with patients, likes variety in their day, and wants a supportive environment to continue developing their skills. RVT licensure is welcome, but not required. We strongly encourage experienced assistants with solid hands-on clinic experience to apply.

Opportunities to learn from different doctors, see a broad range of cases, and expand your technical skills at your own pace What You'll Be Doing Depending on your current experience and comfort level, your role will involve: Assisting with appointments and patient treatments Venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and in-house lab testing Digital radiographs and dental radiographs Medication and injection administration Surgical prep, anesthesia monitoring, and patient recovery Hospitalized and urgent patient care Client education and maintaining accurate patient records We understand that experience levels vary between practices. We are looking for someone with a solid foundation who feels comfortable with their current skills and is open to learning the rest. What We're Looking For Previous hands-on experience working in a veterinary hospital Comfort with dog and cat handling Familiarity with common veterinary technical skills Dependability, good communication, and a team-first mindset RVT preferred, but not required If you have hands-on clinic experience and are looking for a supportive place to work and grow, we'd love to hear from you.
