This is a great opportunity for someone interested in veterinary medicine who is willing to learn. Previous veterinary experience is not required; training will be provided. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with both animals and people and understands that working in a veterinary clinic includes customer service, animal care, cleaning, and teamwork.

Responsibilities May Include:

Reception / Customer Service Greeting clients and assisting with check-in and check-out Answering phones and returning messages Scheduling appointments Collecting payments and providing receipts Reviewing basic appointment instructions with clients Entering and updating information in patient records Helping keep the lobby and reception area organized Communicating professionally with clients, veterinarians, and other staff Veterinary Assistant Duties Cleaning and disinfecting cages, kennels, carriers, tables, floors, and equipment Doing laundry and keeping supplies stocked Feeding and caring for clinic or adoption animals as assigned Helping maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary clinic We Are Looking for

Someone Who:

Is dependable and arrives to work on time Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic Is comfortable working with cats and dogs of different sizes and temperaments Is comfortable cleaning up urine, feces, vomit, blood, and other messes associated with animal care Can follow directions and established clinic procedures Is willing to learn and accept feedback Can work efficiently in a busy environment Communicates respectfully with clients and coworkers Can work independently while also being part of a team Is able to stand for extended periods and perform the physical duties required in an animal clinic Has basic computer and telephone skills

Experience:

No veterinary experience is required. Customer service, reception, animal care, shelter, kennel, or veterinary experience is helpful but not necessary. We are willing to train the right person who is dependable, motivated, compassionate toward animals, and eager to learn. About ACT ACT Spay/Neuter Clinic is a nonprofit veterinary clinic in Stockton dedicated to providing affordable spay/neuter services and helping reduce pet overpopulation in our community. We work with owned pets, community cats, rescue animals, and our cat adoption program.
