VCA Orange County Veterinary Specialists is looking for a new team member to join our work family. Job Overview In this position the team member will triage new arriving emergencies, assist the Criticalist or Emergency doctor with estimates and some additional paperwork, initiate treatments, converse with clients on the phone and in person, complete discharges in detail with medications and review clients at home instructions. We support growth and learning. Initial training will be for 6 weeks. After initial training there is a checklist to guide the team member and additional assessments to keep learning. Qualifications Previous Veterinary experience is required. For the VA or RVT position having experience with IV catheters and blood draws in required. For the TA position these are skills we can work towards. Hours and Benefits 4 ten hour shifts with at least one weekend day would be required. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The pay range for this position is $22 to $30 per hour.
