Job Description

Description ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital in San Fernando Valley is seeking an experienced Doctor's Assistant to join our growing Internal Medicine team! At ACCESS, we recognize the importance of those individuals taking such good care of our pets and their families by offering competitive pay starting at $21 - $24/ hour (dependent upon experience). Our Doctor's Assistants work closely with our medical teams by guiding clients through their visit with ACCESS (from history taking to discharging) helping to establish the foundation for a trusting and empathetic visit.
Your responsibilities may include:
Work closely with Board Certified Specialists and Emergency DVMs Serve the critical role of being the liaison between doctors, clients, and patients Organize/ track patient diagnostics Coordinate hospitalized patient treatment Prepare patient discharge reports/ in-hospital updates Communicate with clients, referring DVMs; and pharmacies as needed regarding appointments, medical concerns, patient updates, referrals, and prescriptions Our ideal candidates: Have a desire to help people and their pets Minimum two-year veterinary experience in a customer service role Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently in a clear and audible voice A friendly and professional demeanor Critical thinking and problem-solving skills And most importantly … embody our core principles: Quality, Integrity, Compassion and Service Must be able to work Fridays and Saturdays Experience with ezyvet a plus We invest heavily in our employees with many opportunities for growth and development! Shift hours worked between:
