RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with patient care, including restraining dogs and cats, administering medications, and preparing patients for surgery Take patient history, present estimates, and answer basic client questions (vaccines, preventatives, lab results) Support the veterinarian during exams, treatments, and surgeries Perform basic lab work, such as collecting and processing samples Monitor patients during recovery and alert the veterinarian of any concerns Bathe, walk, and provide basic care for pets Maintain and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment Clean and organize the hospital to ensure a safe and sanitary environment

QUALIFICATIONS

Must have experience with animals Strong communication and multitasking skills Ability to follow instructions and work well under pressure Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays (accommodations available for school or other responsibilities) Able to lift pets weighing up to 40 lbs Veterinary Assistant certification is a plus
