Veterinary Assistant Small Family-Based Animal Clinic Schedule:

Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 3:00

Based on experience and performance About Us We are a small, family-oriented animal clinic dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. We are seeking a motivated, dependable Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant who enjoys working in a collaborative, supportive environment. Position Overview The Veterinary Technician/Assistant will support the Doctor and team with patient care, surgical assistance, laboratory procedures, and client communication. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, able to multitask, and committed to delivering outstanding patient and client care. Key Responsibilities Prepare animals for examinations and surgical procedures Assist the Doctor/Technician during exams and surgeries (as needed) Clean, prep, and sanitize surgery areas, equipment, and tools Monitor anesthesia and record patient vitals Place IV catheters, restrain animals Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments Perform and assist with blood draws and collect laboratory samples Ensure proper handling and documentation of controlled substances Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the clinic Provide excellent client-patient communication Fill in for other team members when needed Perform additional projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications Preferred:

Graduate of a Veterinary Assistant program and/or Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in a veterinary setting performing the skills listed above
