• Overview
• We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care, and possess the necessary skills to assist in providing high-quality veterinary services.
• Duties
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
• Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary clinic and equipment
• Monitor and record vital signs of animals
• Provide basic pet care and support to both animals and their owners
• Prepare lab specimens to be sent to the reference lab, as well as running in house diagnostics
• CSR support as needed
• Qualifications
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
• Experience in animal handling and restraint
• Familiarity with medication administration for animals
• Previous work in a veterinary clinic is preferred
• Certification as a Veterinary Assistant is beneficial but not required

Pay:

$22.00

00 per hour
