This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized hospital environmrnt and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. The ideal candidate is dependable, compassionate, detail-oriented, team-focused, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced veterinary environment, and able to communicate professionssionally and compassionately with clients.

Qualifications:

Previous veterinary hospital experience preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate from an accredited veterinary technology program. Current credential as a Cerfified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Refistered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), as applicable to the state. Experience with anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, radiology, laboratory procedures, and surgery preferred. Ability to safely restrain and care for animals. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. Ability to lift and restrain animals and perform physical duties required in a veterinary hospital.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Able to bend, kneel, reach, and work on the floor when necessary. Able to safely lift and carry animals and equipment. Able to work around animal odors, bodily fluids, and medical waste. Able to safely handle animals that may scratch, bite, or otherwise resist restraint. This position will have weekdays and weekend hours. Pay will depend on experience.
