Job Description

Guilford Veterinary Hospital is seeking full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team. Candidates must be energetic, highly motivated, reliable, enthusiastic team players who enjoy utilizing their skills and multi-tasking. We are a progressive 8 doctor Veterinary Hospital looking for a mature, reliable, well groomed, confident person to fill our Veterinary Assistant/room assistant position. Must be able to lift 40lbs. Requires working day, evening, Saturday and occasional holiday shifts. Duties include cleaning cages, walking dogs, feeding, animal restraint, assisting doctors & technicians in both treatment areas and exam rooms. Computer experience required and animal restraint experience. We strive to practice high quality veterinary medicine while maintaining a caring and friendly environment for our patients and our team. Qualifications Veterinary experience Animal handling skills Knowledge of veterinary terminology Experience in pet care and animal care Familiarity with animal restraint techniques Computer skills Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or similar setting
