Overview Join our dynamic veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant and become a vital part of providing compassionate, high-quality care to animals. In this energetic role, you will support our veterinarians by performing essential animal care tasks, assisting with clinical procedures, and ensuring a welcoming environment for pet owners. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a positive experience for every pet and owner who walks through our doors. Duties Assist veterinarians with animal examinations, treatments, and procedures, including restraint and medication administration Handle a variety of animals safely using proper restraint techniques for exams, treatments, and laboratory procedures Help to prepare animals for surgery or diagnostic tests Manage front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, answering client inquiries, and maintaining accurate records Administer medications and perform basic laboratory tests to support diagnosis and treatment plans Maintain the cleanliness of clinical areas, equipment sterilization, and proper disposal of medical waste Experience Prior experience as a Vet Tech preferred, although we may consider an applicant who has worked in a kennel or dog daycare associated with a Veterinary Clinic. Candidates must pass a drug and background screen and provide 1 professional reference, preferably veterinary or animal care related.
