Duties Assist with animal restraint, handling, and care to ensure safety for pets, clients, and staff Support veterinary technicians during medical procedures such as IV insertions, catheterizations, and surgeries Maintain cleanliness of treatment areas, kennels, and surgical suites through thorough cleaning and sanitation Record keeping of patient information, treatment details, medication administration, and procedure notes accurately Manage front desk responsibilities including client communication, appointment scheduling, and check-in/out processes Monitor animal behavior to assess welfare needs and provide appropriate pet care under supervision Assist with animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, bathing, grooming, and ensuring proper housing conditions Skills Previous kennel experience or veterinary clinic experience demonstrating familiarity with animal handling and care protocols Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic medical procedures Experience with dog handling, equine care, or other animal species is highly desirable Ability to perform medication administration and assist with surgical procedures safely Strong record keeping skills along with excellent client communication abilities Proficiency in using personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately during all tasks Understanding of animal behavior and restraint techniques to ensure safety during examinations or treatments This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about animal welfare who want to grow their career in veterinary medicine.
