Job Summary At
SAWGRASS VETERINARY
CARDIOLOGY, we are committed to providing unparalleled veterinary care and exceptional service to our clients and their beloved pets. We are seeking a skilled, dedicated, and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. Our specialized cardiology department is dedicated to diagnosing and treating heart conditions in animals, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our patients and supporting our veterinarians and nurses in delivering exceptional medical services. We are steadfast in the fear free approach with our patients and rooted in AHAA standards.
Duties Patient Care:
Prepare patients for examinations with the echocardiogram and other general procedures. Assist with diagnostic tests, such as echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, and blood pressure monitoring. Proper safe restraint techniques. Assist with emergency procedures as needed. Assisting nursing team with the completion of lab profiles in a timely manner
Hospital Environment:
Maintain a clean and sanitized work environment. Stock medical supplies and equipment. Assist with inventory management. Ensure proper maintenance of medical and lab equipment.
Professional Development:
Participate in continuing education and training opportunities to stay updated on veterinary cardiology practices and advancements. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations. Qualifications Previous experience working in a veterinary setting preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and pet parents. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to travel to remote locations Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment High school diploma or equivalent. Technical Capabilities Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members professionally. A genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing excellent pet care. Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
