Veterinary Assistant and Technician Grant Animal Clinic Grant, FL Job Details Part-time | Full-time $16 - $18 an hour 7 hours ago Benefits Continuing education credits Paid holidays 401(k) Paid time off Uniform allowance 401(k) matching Employee discount Retirement plan Qualifications Customer communication Animal hospital experience Patient monitoring Interpersonal skills Attention to detail Stocking Full Job Description We are looking for someone who: Loves animals and enjoys working with pets and their owners Has excellent customer service and communication skills Is dependable, punctual, and a team player Can work in a fast-paced veterinary environment Is comfortable handling and restraining dogs and cats Pays close attention to detail Is willing to learn and take direction Maintains a clean, organized, and professional work environment Understands the importance of patient safety and proper medical care Responsibilities Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with appointments and procedures Safely restrain patients when instructed Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas Clean and disinfect rooms, equipment, and kennels Assist with patient care and monitoring Prepare patients for procedures Stock supplies and maintain inventory Assist with laboratory work, radiographs, and other hospital procedures as trained Communicate professionally with clients and team members Follow hospital policies and safety procedures Provide compassionate care to every patient Experience Previous veterinary experience is preferred but not required . We are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a genuine love for animals. Veterinary Assistant certification is a plus.
