Job Description
We are looking for team members to join our family! A position is available for a dedicated and caring experienced Veterinary Assistant/Technician. Further training is available for any applicant if needed. You will support our veterinarians and provide outstanding care to our patients and clients. Job responsibilities Complete patient check-ins and treatments Collect laboratory specimens from patients and prepare them for testing. Assist veterinarians with patient examinations and procedures Perform dental prophylaxis, take radiographs, assist in surgeries Calculate drug dosages correctly and prepare prescriptions Treat every patient like they were your own Enter medical records in Practice Management software (Cornerstone experience is a plus) Give excellent client service and education Qualifications and Skills A proven track record of working as a veterinary technician Attention to detail Ability to multitask and take initiative Ability to efficiently prioritize Ability to work in stressful situations while making sound decisions Customer service skills Excellent verbal and written skills when assisting clients via phone, text or email. There will be some CSR responsibilities with this position. Must be able to lift patients up to 30 pounds alone, and patients over 40 pounds with assistance. Salary will be based on experience.
