We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate, and motivated full-time Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join ouir growing family. We want a team player who is excited to provide top-noch care to our community of pets. Duties Client education and communication. Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures. Compassionate animal care and low-stress handling and restraint. Must be able to safely and effectively, utilizing knowledge of animal physiology and anatomy to minimize stress and ensure safety. Perform laboratory tasks such as phlebotomy, sample collection, and processing for diagnostic testing. Operate medical equipment including X-ray machines, anesthesia monitors, and surgical instruments with precision and aseptic technique. Administer medications, injections, and fluids via IV insertion or other routes. Maintain accurate veterinary software records for patient history, treatments, and laboratory results. Support pet care through grooming assistance, feeding, cleaning kennels, and ensuring animals are comfortable in the clinic environment. General cleaning, organizing, and maintaining a sterile clinical environment. Skills A positive attitude and a compassionate aproach to both animals and humans. Ability to work well withn a team-oriented environment. Physical capability to stand, bend, and safely lift up to 40lbs. Kennel experience combined with small animal handling (dogs and cats) Strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary assistance procedures. Knowledge of veterinary protocols, vaccine schedules , and some knowledge of common disease of the dog and cat. Ability to perform animal catheterization, IV insertion, medication administration, and emergency medicine interventions confidently. Excellent client communication skills to explain procedures clearly while providing pet care guidance with compassion. Familiarity with veterinary software systems for record keeping and appointment scheduling.
