animal clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in caring for animals, strong communication and patient services skills, and a commitment to the advancement of veterinary medicine. Schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 10 am to 6 pm. Veterinary Technician Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: maintaining exam rooms and treatment areas assisting the doctor with treatments and procedures in rooms, and in surgery restraining animals administering injections, (SQ, IM, and IV), oral meds, and phlebotomies (jugular, cephalic, and saphenous) and IV catheterization, recognize signs and symptoms of patient distress able to lift 40# or less alone and 50# or more with a buddy assist with inventory management Interact effectively with patients and their owners. Clean and sterilize necessary medical equipment for surgeries and examinations. Prepare patients for surgical and dental procedures, safely support induction and monitoring of anesthetized patients including checking and recording vital parameters (under direction of the veterinarian), monitor patients during recovery •Prefer qualified applicants with at least 1 year of veterinary technician experience.•Must pass working interview (1/2 day or full day). •

Pay:

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
