Whether you already have veterinary experience or are looking to grow your skills in the field, this is a great opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team while providing exceptional care to pets and the people who love them. As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll work closely with our veterinarians and veterinary technicians to help keep appointments and treatments running smoothly, provide hands-on care to our patients, and help create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. What You'll Do Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats for exams and treatments Help provide compassionate care to hospitalized and recovering patients Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinary team Assist with preparing patients and treatment areas for procedures Monitor patients and communicate any changes or concerns to the medical team Help with basic laboratory testing and sample preparation Feed, walk, clean, and provide general care for hospitalized or boarding patients Maintain clean and organized exam rooms, treatment areas, kennels, and equipment Communicate professionally and compassionately with pet owners Assist with phones, scheduling, patient records, and other front-desk responsibilities when needed Jump in wherever needed to help the hospital and your teammates have a successful day What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is: Compassionate and genuinely enjoys working with animals Dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Able to remain calm and focused when things get busy A strong communicator and team player Comfortable with the physical demands of veterinary medicine, including standing for extended periods and safely handling animals Organized and attentive to detail Willing to help with both patient care and the less glamorous—but equally important—parts of veterinary medicine, including cleaning and maintaining the hospital Previous veterinary, kennel, animal care, or veterinary assistant experience is a plus, but we're also interested in candidates with the right attitude, work ethic, and willingness to learn. Pay:
$15.50 - $17.00 per hour
