Part Time Little Road Veterinary Clinic is a growing and busy veterinary clinic dedicated to providing exceptional care to pets in New Port Richey, FL, and the surrounding communities. Our experienced team is passionate about delivering high-quality medicine with compassion and personalized care. We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Veterinary Assistant to join our team full-time. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment where patient care, teamwork, and client education are top priorities. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures Safely restrain patients for exams, diagnostics, and treatments Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas Assist with patient intake, obtaining histories, and documenting medical information Support surgical procedures by preparing patients, maintaining sterile supplies, and assisting with recovery Collect and process laboratory samples as directed Administer medications and treatments under veterinary supervision, as permitted Clean, disinfect, and maintain hospital equipment and work areas Maintain accurate medical records Educate pet owners on basic pet care, nutrition, medications, and preventive health Provide compassionate care to patients and excellent service to clients Qualifications Atleast 1 year previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant General practice experience is a plus Experience with Vetcove PIMS and/or HESKA laboratory equipment is preferred but not required Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Compassionate, patient-focused attitude Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift and restrain animals safely Flexibility to work every Saturday Benefits Competitive compensation + Monthly Bonus Opportunities Annual Scrub Allowance 401(k) with employer match Recognition and incentive programs celebrating outstanding patient care Employee pet care discounts at all CVP hospitals Internal growth and career advancement opportunities throughout the CVP network If you're passionate about animal care and enjoy working with a supportive, collaborative team, we'd love to hear from you.
