Our Kennel team is dedicated to the care and comfort of our patients while providing critical support to the veterinary team. In this role, you will focus on patient husbandry and care as well as general housekeeping duties throughout the hospital. You will provide meals and walks to boarding patients, administer medication, and monitor for any medical or behavioral concerns while providing detailed documentation about your observations. You will ensure kennels, common spaces and treatment areas are sanitized and well stocked with supplies. This position is ideal for those who are self-driven, detail-oriented, enjoy cleaning and organization, and are committed to contributing to a team-focused environment.
Schedule and compensation:
Compensation:
$ 14-16 per hour, for each hour worked
Availability Needed:
Monday through Sunday, depending on the hospital's needs.
Weekend Rotation:
Weekend shifts may consist of either: Full or split shifts on Saturday and/or Sunday, or An alternating weekend schedule (working one weekend and having the next weekend off), depending on team scheduling needs. Full-time Benefits Package•: Health package: Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 401k - with company match beginning 2027 Paid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable law Personal pet discount Uniform allowance Part-time team members may be eligible for limited benefits in accordance with company policy and state law Your qualifications: 1+ years of experience as a veterinary kennel assistant / kennel technician preferred Animal care experience preferred (boarding, doggy daycare, FFA/4-H, or related experience) Confidence handling and restraining dogs and cats of varying sizes and temperaments Experience with boarding care, including feeding, medications, walking, kennel/cage maintenance, and monitoring patient wellbeing Ability to maintain a clean, organized environment through janitorial and housekeeping duties Strong attention to detail with accurate record-keeping and willingness to assist with light technical tasks Positive, dependable team player with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn and grow in veterinary medicine Why choose Pine Castle Animal Care Center?
