CareVet of Central Florida Oviedo, FL 32765 407-366-4535 Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Veterinarian Technician/Assistant to join our veterinary team in Oviedo, FL. The ideal candidate will assist veterinarians in providing high-quality medical care to our animal patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their visit. Responsibilities Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgeries. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, surgical areas, and equipment. Collect and process laboratory samples such as blood, urine, and feces. Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian. Monitor and record vital signs and patient progress. Provide compassionate care and support to animals before, during, and after procedures. Educate pet owners on post-treatment care, nutrition, and general health. Maintain accurate medical records and assist with inventory management. Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation protocols. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a veterinary technician program preferred. Previous experience as a veterinary technician or assistant is a plus. Strong knowledge of animal care and medical terminology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
