What You'll Do As a Veterinary Assistant or LVT, you will support patient care and help maintain smooth daily workflow throughout the hospital. You will work closely with veterinarians and fellow teammates to create a calm, supportive experience for both patients and clients.

Responsibilities include:

LVTs are encouraged to fully utilize their training, skills, and expertise, practicing at the highest level permitted within their legal scope of practice Providing attentive patient care, keeping patients clean, comfortable, and safe Monitoring patients and alerting the team to any changes in condition Safely restraining patients using low-stress handling techniques Assisting with exams, treatments, surgery, and dentistry Recovering patients from anesthesia and sedation Administering medications and performing treatments as directed Assisting with diagnostics, including in-house lab work and radiographs Filling prescriptions accurately and asking for guidance when needed Maintaining accurate and timely medical records Walking, feeding, and caring for hospitalized patients Setting up and assisting with procedures, including IV catheter placement and other treatments Ensuring patients leave clean and comfortable after their visit Helping maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked hospital What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused.
