We're looking for a compassionate, motivated veterinary technician or assistant with rehabilitation credentials. What You'll DoRehabilitation & Patient Care Implement prescribed therapeutic exercise programs and rehabilitation protocols tailored to individual patient needs. Assist other veterinary rehabilitation team members with hands-on patient care and rehabilitation sessions. Assist the veterinarian and rehabilitation clinician during appointments, including initial evaluations, physical examinations and patient assessments. Obtain and record patient history, vital signs, weight, and other relevant information as directed. Prepare patients, treatment areas, and equipment for appointments and procedures. Educating pet owners on home exercise programs and mobility support Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records Administer therapeutic modalities under veterinary/rehabilitation clinician supervision, including: Laser therapy, Therapeutic exercises, Manual therapy and massage, Electrical stimulation, PEMF, Underwater treadmill therapy, Shockwave treatments. Monitor patients closely during treatments and communicate changes or concerns to the veterinary team Safely handle, position, and assist patients during treatments and therapeutic exercises. Help maintain patient comfort and use Fear Free handling techniques whenever possible Clean, sanitize, organize, and maintain rehabilitation equipment and treatment areas Maintain appropriate laundry, stocking, cleaning, and general clinic organization Work collaboratively with the team to maintain and monitor rehabilitation equipment including the underwater treadmills, balance boards, therapy bands, and other therapeutic exercise equipment. Help maintain a calm, positive, and safe environment for patients, clients, and team members Team & Clinic Support Work closely with veterinarians, veterinary technicians/assistants, and rehabilitation staff Communicate patient observations and concerns to the medical and rehabilitation team Assist with general veterinary and clinic duties as needed Help keep the clinic clean, organized, and prepared for the day's appointments Follow UpLift's patient care, safety, sanitation, and rehabilitation protocols Provide compassionate and professional care to every patient Contribute to a positive, supportive, team-oriented workplace You will receive training on UpLift's specific rehabilitation services, equipment, treatment protocols, and patient-handling techniques. What We're Looking For Veterinary assistant, veterinary technician, rehabilitation assistant, physical rehabilitation, sports medicine, or similar experience is a plus Certification in canine rehabilitation is required, including
CCRP, CVMRT, CCRT/A, CCRV
(N), CCRVT, or Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Rehabilitation. Candidates who are currently pursuing a rehabilitation certification are encouraged to apply. Experience safely handling dogs and cats of different sizes and temperaments Warm, compassionate, and patient demeanor Strong attention to detail and ability to closely monitor patients Reliable, responsible, and willing to take initiative Comfortable working as part of a collaborative team Strong communication skills Comfortable working on your feet and on the floor during treatments Able to lift 40+ lbs and safely assist with patient movement and transfers Comfortable working with patients who may be painful, anxious, weak, elderly, neurologically impaired, or have limited mobility Willingness to learn and develop new rehabilitation skills Ability to remain calm and attentive in a busy clinical environment Experience in veterinary rehabilitation, physical rehabilitation, sports medicine, hydrotherapy, or integrative medicine is a plus, but we're happy to train motivated candidates who are eager to learn.
