Job Description

Job Summary Join our fun veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant and become a important part of providing exceptional animal care and client service. In this role, you will support veterinary professionals by assisting with animal handling, medical procedures, and clinic operations. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help ensure our patients receive compassionate treatment while maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient clinic environment. Responsibilities Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint, handling, and care during examinations, treatments, and surgeries Prepare animals for procedures by cleaning, grooming, and ensuring proper positioning using appropriate animal husbandry techniques Support veterinary technicians with tasks such as medication administration, blood draws, administer vaccines, and record keeping Maintain a clean and sterile environment by performing thorough cleaning of treatment areas and exam rooms Help manage client communication by answering questions, scheduling appointments, and providing pet care instructions Monitor animals' behavior and welfare to ensure comfort and safety throughout their visit Assist with front desk duties including check-in/check-out processes and maintaining accurate patient records Skills Previous veterinary clinic experience is required Knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, physiology, and behavior Experience with dog and cat handling, animal restraint techniques, and pet care procedures is required Ability to perform basic medical tasks assisting the veterinarians s Familiarity with record keeping systems for patient information and treatment logs Excellent client communication skills to provide compassionate support to pet owners This role is perfect for motivated individuals passionate about pet care who thrive in fast-paced environments. Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
