Veterinary Assistant / Veterinary Technician Job Posting Claxton Veterinary Clinic Join Our Team! Claxton Veterinary Clinic is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Veterinary Assistant / Veterinary Technician to join our growing small animal practice. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, values teamwork, and is committed to providing excellent patient and client care. Responsibilities Include:

Assisting veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments Restraining pets safely and compassionately Preparing exam rooms and surgical areas Collecting samples and running in-house laboratory tests Administering medications and vaccines as directed Monitoring and caring for hospitalized patients Assisting with surgery and anesthesia monitoring (depending on experience) Maintaining accurate medical records Cleaning and maintaining equipment and treatment areas Educating clients on medications, preventatives, and follow-up care

Qualifications:

Previous veterinary clinic experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment Team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn Ability to lift and restrain animals safely Experience with veterinary software is a plus
