Job Description
Join Our Creekside Animal Hospital Family! Petcare Team Our Petcare team is the heart of our boarding and pet care team. They provide compassionate, attentive care to our patients and lodging guests while ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, loves animals of all shapes and sizes, and isn't afraid to get a little dirty in the name of exceptional pet care. Responsibilities Provide daily care for boarding pets, including feeding, watering, walking, and administering medications as directed. Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, runs, and common areas according to hospital protocols. Monitor pets for changes in behavior, appetite, or health and report concerns to the veterinary team. Maintain accurate feeding, medication, and treatment records. Assist with bathing, nail trims, and other grooming services as assigned. Exercise and socialize pets while following individual care instructions. Wash bedding, dishes, toys, and laundry throughout the day. Help maintain inventory of kennel supplies. Assist veterinary technicians and doctors with patient handling and restraint when needed. Ensure all pets are safe, secure, and comfortable during their stay. Deliver exceptional customer service when interacting with clients during drop-off and pick-up. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required—we're happy to train the right person. Ability to safely handle dogs and cats of various sizes, breeds, and temperaments. Comfortable working around animal hair, odors, noise, cleaning chemicals, and occasional messes. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand, bend, walk, and kneel for extended periods. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Dependable, punctual, and able to work weekends and holidays on a rotating schedule.
