Job Description

Part-Time Kennel Attendant /
Veterinary Support Job Type:
Part-Time (Approx. 25 hours/week) Flexibility is a MUST. Position Overview Join our growing veterinary clinic as a Kennel Attendant and play an essential, hands-on role in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment for our patients, clients, and staff. This position is vital to our daily operations and requires a self-motivated individual who is comfortable working with both animals and clinical equipment.
Primary Responsibilities Animal Care:
Keep all kennels and cages thoroughly clean, sanitized, and well-maintained. Ensure patients are comfortable, provided with fresh bedding, and walked regularly.
Surgical Preparation:
Responsible for the meticulous cleaning, preparation, and assembly of surgical instruments and surgical packs (following strict protocols).
Facility Maintenance:
Perform constant laundry cycles throughout the shift. Execute general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, trash disposal, and sanitizing common areas to maintain a high level of hygiene.
Support:
Assist medical staff with various tasks as assigned, ensuring the clinic is fully prepared for the next day of patient care.
Requirements and Qualifications Physical Ability:
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs unassisted . Passion for
Animals:
A genuine commitment to the comfort and well-being of the animals in our care is required.
Work Ethic:
Must possess strong attention to detail and be able to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Experience:
Previous animal care or veterinary experience is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who is reliable and motivated.
Reliability:
Due to the nature of closing duties, consistent attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
